Before Installation

We recommend to prepare a server dedicated for X-Collector only.

• Disable the automatic update service of Windows on X-Collector server. For details, see Disable Windows Update Service.
• Download and install service packs before installing X-Collector on Windows Server 2012 system. For details, see Update Error Solution.
• On Windows7（32-bit）or Windows Server 2008, .Net Framework cannot be automatically installed. In that case, refer to Net Program Installation before installing X-Collector.
• Disable Windows firewall and third-party security software before installing X-Collector.

  You can add X-Collector IP to anti-virus software allowlist.

Installing X-Collector

1. Double-click the installation file, and then follow instructions of the installation wizard to install X-Collector.

• Make sure the installation path of X-Collector has only ASCII characters.
• During installation, .Net Framework 4.6.2 will be automatically installed. If it already exists, click Close or Cancel when asked to continue installation.

2. Restart the system to complete installation.

   If nginx is not enabled, check whether the IIS server on Windows occupies the port 80.

3. Open Service panel, and check whether the following services are running.

• supos_breakpad: supOS breakpad service
• supos_collector: supOS collector service
• supos_nginx: supOS nginx service
• supos_videocollector: supOS video collector service
• supos_aecollector: supOS OPC AE collector service

Logging in to X-Collector

1. Access http://<IP address>, and then enter the default login account and password (admin/admin) to login.

   If the default port 80 for X-Collector is occupied, you can change it and then use the changed port and IP to log in. For details, see Change Login Port.

2. Change password on the pop-up window.

Uninstalling X-Collector

1. Select Control Panel > Uninstall Program.
2. Right-click X-Collector and then click Uninstall.
3. Select whether to delete all X-Collector modules, and then click Yes.

Configuration and design data of X-Collector will not be deleted after uninstallation.
